Itinerary Details
The Gift of the Land: Ehime Tangerines Under the Sun
Ehime Prefecture is known as the “Kingdom of Citrus,” and the hillside orchards of Ikata Town, facing the Uwa Sea, benefit from abundant sunshine and sea breezes that nurture exceptionally sweet fruit. At Tagen Farm, you’ll learn about the terroir differences of various citrus varieties through a guided tour by professional guides, and you can pick the plump citrus fruits yourself, taking this earthy sweetness home with you.
The Rebirth of the Sea: Environmental Technology of Marine-Drifting Materials
The beautiful ocean faces the challenge of marine debris. At the Peninsula Museum, we put the SDGs into practice in a local context. Instructors will guide you in selecting weathered marine debris and transforming it into unique, eco-friendly pendants through creativity and handcrafting. This is not just a souvenir, but a commitment to protecting the ocean.
Itinerary
Fruit picking and the taste of mountains and sea
Tianyuan Farm Fruit Picking Experience
Meet at the farm. Listen to the experts introduce the varieties of Ehime tangerines and the stories behind their cultivation, and personally select the ripest fruits and pack them as souvenirs.
Free lunch and leisurely sightseeing tour
We recommend enjoying a lunch with local ingredients at a café near the farm, and taking in the stunning views of the sea and sky along the peninsula scenic road.
Environmental Regeneration and Crafts
Marine waste recycling workshop
Then we visited the Peninsula Museum to learn about marine environmental issues. Under professional guidance, we recombined marine debris into ornaments that are both aesthetically pleasing and meaningful.
