The highly popular biennial event, “CYCLING SHIMANAMI 2026,” will be held on October 25th, 2026 (Sunday). This offer includes Route A: starting from Onomichi (Mukojima), the route crosses the Seto Inland Sea southwards, covering approximately 70 kilometers to Imabari. Along the way, you’ll pass three aid stations and enjoy breathtaking sea views from the highway bridge, a ride only available on this one day. Tickets are in high demand, and general admission requires a lottery. We guarantee admission, ensuring you have a smooth and unforgettable experience.

- Excludes bicycle rental fees, food and beverage expenses at aid stations, and personal transportation costs.

- Includes eligibility for Route A + 1 night’s accommodation the day before the event (October 24th).

IMABARI 70 | Sailing south along the Setouchi-Shimanami Kaido

Starting from Onomichi Island IC, the route heads south through the Seto Inland Sea National Park, crossing a bridge connecting nine islands, and arriving at Imabari Port after approximately 70 kilometers. This one-way route keeps you in peak condition throughout, with three aid stations along the way offering local food and supplies. The cheers of the island residents and the magnificent strait views will create unforgettable riding memories.
Only on this day is the highway open to bicycles.

Normally, admission is by lottery, making it highly competitive. This plan guarantees admission; purchasing a ticket ensures your eligibility for Route A, eliminating the need for luck. Seats are limited and will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis, so please book as early as possible.
“CYCLING SHIMANAMI 2026” is Japan’s largest closed highway cycling event, and it is the only one of its kind in Japan. The Nishiseto Expressway (Shimanami Kaido) on Route A is designated as a “National Cycling Path” by the Japanese government and is a world-renowned “Cycling Mecca”. It is usually only open to cars, but is only open to cyclists on this day.

- Route A requires the use of sport bicycles; regular bicycles or electric-assisted bicycles are not permitted.
- Participants must have completed a cycling event of approximately 70km or equivalent distance (high school students and above) in other cycling events.
- You will need to bring your own bicycle or rent one (please contact us for assistance).
- If the conference is cancelled due to weather or force majeure, refunds will be processed according to the organizer’s regulations.
- Participants are responsible for their own transportation costs to and from the conference venue.

- Once a reservation is made, a 5% system cancellation fee will be charged if the reservation is cancelled due to personal reasons.
