Itinerary Details
The post-construction blessing: the kiln-firing process inside the carriage
THE RAIL KITCHEN CHIKUGO’s proudest feature is its onboard kiln oven. The chef selects seasonal vegetables and fresh meats from the Chikugo region to prepare the food right there on the moving train. The interior of the carriage incorporates Chikugo’s bamboo craftsmanship and jojima tile techniques, allowing you to experience the culinary charm of Fukuoka’s local specialties in an elegant atmosphere.
Classic routes and the fun of getting off along the way
Whether it’s the “Deep Shrine Visit Route” which is limited to 78 minutes from Dazaifu Station on Fridays, or the “Nostalgic Lunch Route” that takes you to Yanagawa, the Water City, on weekends, each route is precisely designed with a golden ratio of sightseeing and dining. Passengers can enjoy delicious food while experiencing the flow of Kyushu’s history and natural landscapes.
