Dramatic changes in landscape across altitude
Take the Asahidake Ropeway to ascend from the Ezo red pine forest at an altitude of 1,100 meters to the alpine vegetation zone at an altitude of 1,600 meters in a short time. As the altitude increases, the view opens up and reveals a magnificent scene of volcanoes and alpine plants intertwined.
The deep connection between the five senses and nature
In addition to mountain climbing, the itinerary also includes walking along a high-altitude wetland boardwalk and exploring a mixed subtropical forest. The guide will also make a special arrangement to prepare a cup of “Big Snow Mountain Coffee” for you at a snowmelt water source, using fresh local spring water, so you can enjoy a tranquil experience that cleanses your mind and body in the clear air.

Forward National Park and Peak Tour
Departure from Asahikawa and the pastoral scenery
Meet at Asahikawa Station and take a private car to Daisetsuzan National Park, enjoying the beautiful rice paddies of the Kamikawa Plain along the way.
Asahidake Ropeway and Hiking
After arriving at the cable car station, ascend directly to the high-altitude area. Under the guidance of a professional guide, you will embark on a 2-hour hike, observing the unique geology and vegetation of the Daxueshan Mountains.
Lunch time (at your own expense)
Return to the cable car station restaurant for lunch and experience a hearty meal made with local farm produce.
Highland Wetland Boardwalk and Visitor Center
Stroll through the unique wetland terrain, visit the Asahidake Visitor Center, and then walk into the subtropical mixed forest near the campsite.
Farewell to the Forest and Rest at the Water Source
Rest at the snowmelt water source and coffee shop
Walk to the spring, where the guide will fetch water on-site to brew coffee, allowing you to savor the purest sweetness of the snow-capped mountains.
Stations and Fugui on Higashikawa Town Road
Purchase local specialty souvenirs (such as essential oils and local wines) at Michino Station, then return to Asahikawa Station and the group disbands.
