Powered paragliding combines the freedom of paragliding with the power of a lightweight engine. After a short running start at your pilot’s signal, feel the canopy fill with air and gently lift you from the ground. Once you are safely airborne and settled into the harness, simply relax and take in panoramic views of Furano’s famous patchwork fields from above. With an experienced team of local instructors, MPG Sorachi provides careful preparation before every flight. You’ll watch a concise instructional video and practice the basic takeoff and landing techniques on the ground before meeting your pilot. On the day of the flight, your pilot will assess the wind and choose a suitable route and altitude based on the conditions, allowing you to enjoy spectacular views of the Tokachi-dake Mountain Range and the surrounding Furano countryside.

Ground Training & Takeoff Preparation
Check In & Learn the Basics of Powered Paragliding
Arrive at the flight office, complete check-in and the necessary insurance procedures, and begin your pre-flight briefing. Watch a short instructional video and learn the basic running technique for takeoff and standing technique for landing before heading outside for ground practice.
Gear Check & Final Wind Assessment
Your instructor will help you put on the necessary equipment, including a helmet and harness. Before takeoff, your pilot will conduct a final safety check and carefully assess the wind conditions to confirm that they are suitable for flight.
Take to the Sky & Enjoy the Views
Powered Paragliding Flight: See Furano from Above
Follow your pilot’s instructions for takeoff and feel the engine gently carry you into the sky. Once airborne and comfortably seated in your harness, enjoy approximately 10–15 minutes of flight with panoramic views of Furano’s patchwork fields and the Tokachi-dake Mountain Range. Take photos and videos along the way while listening to your pilot’s commentary about the surrounding landscape.
Smooth Landing & Flight Completion
As you approach the landing area, follow your pilot’s instructions and prepare for a smooth landing. After returning to the office, remove your equipment, complete the remaining insurance procedures, and receive your documents before bringing your unforgettable flying experience to an end.

Important Notes
- Health restrictions: This activity involves physical exertion. Please consult the operator in advance if you have a medical condition such as high blood pressure or heart disease that may make strenuous activity or flight unsuitable.
- Clothing: Please wear long sleeves, comfortable trousers that allow easy movement, and athletic shoes. Warm, windproof clothing is essential in winter.
- Weather conditions: Flights are highly dependent on wind speed, wind direction, and rainfall. The operator may cancel, postpone, or modify the flight schedule on the day depending on weather and safety conditions.

- If you cancel for personal reasons after making a reservation, a 5% system cancellation fee will apply.
