The banks of the Mimi River are lined with native Hokkaido broadleaf forests, and swans or wild ducks can often be seen swimming leisurely on its surface. Sitting in a canoe, with your line of sight level with the horizon, as the paddles cut through the calm water, the tranquility of being one with nature is a luxury that no bustling tourist destination can replace.
