A unique experience of visiting Osoriyama from a local perspective
This tour involves taking a public bus, allowing you to experience the atmosphere of a local’s journey to Mount Osore. Mount Osore is one of Japan’s three major sacred sites. Amidst the volcanic landscape, Lake Usori, and breathtaking natural scenery, an English-speaking guide will provide an accessible introduction to the Japanese faith and culture of honoring ancestors and remembering the deceased, allowing you to experience the unique atmosphere of this sacred site, often described as “hell and paradise.”
A day trip that combines history, nature, and culture.
Besides exploring the area, you can enjoy a local lunch at Renka-an Temple, find limited-edition Osasura souvenirs at Myoju-ya, or stroll freely along the shores of Lake Usori, admiring the contrasting scenery of the sulfurous volcanic landscape and the pure white Gokurakuhama Beach. This is not just a superficial sightseeing trip, but a truly in-depth half-day journey that gets you close to the local daily life and religious practices.
